KSU provides wireless network access to all Faculty, Staff and Students; access is available in many locations across campus. As we are keeping up with the challenge of growing technology and expanding coverage through out the campus, it is our goal to provide the campus with the best support possible.

Device Management

Register or Manage Devices*

*Must be on campus and connected to KSU Wi-Fi to access.

How to connect laptops & Mobile Devices

This process will register your device for 1 year and has more bandwidth than Guest Login.

  1. Make sure Wi-Fi is enabled on your device.
  2. Open wireless options to view available networks and select KSU Students.
  3. Check the box for Connect Automatically (if available) and tap/click Connect.
  4. A browser window will open. Enter your KSU username and password and tap/click Login.
  5. You will be taken to another page which contains the Acceptable Use Agreement.
    Read the agreement and then tap/click the checkmark if you agree.
  6. Tap/click Complete Registration.

This process will register your device for 1 year and has more bandwidth than Guest Login.

  1. Make sure Wi-Fi is enabled on your device.
  2. Open wireless options to view available networks and select KSU Faculty Staff.
  3. Check the box for Connect Automatically (if available) and tap/click Connect.
  4. A browser window will open. Enter your KSU username and password and tap/click Login.
  5. You will be taken to another page which contains the Acceptable Use Agreement.
    Read the agreement and then tap/click the checkmark if you agree.
  6. Tap/click Complete Registration.

This process will register your device for 24 hours and has restricted bandwidth.
NOTE: Active KSU students and faculty/staff should not use the Guest Login. Please refer to the steps above for Student and Faculty & Staff Logins.

  1. Make sure Wi-Fi is enabled on your device.
  2. Open wireless options to view available networks and select KSU Guest.
  3. Check the box for Connect Automatically (if available) and tap/click Connect.
  4. A browser window will open. Enter your first name, last name, and email address and tap/click Complete Registration.
  5. A Verification Code will be sent to your email address. Retrieve the code and enter it into the Verification Code box. 
  6. Tap/click Complete Registration.

After logging in, your device will begin to register to the network. When completed, you will be successfully connected to the network.

 

How to connect other Devices

Wireless devices like gaming consoles, streaming devices, and smart TVs, will need to be registered, using the device's MAC Address, before they can be connected to the network. 

To register a device, you must submit the device's MAC Address.

If you're on campus and connected to KSU Wi-Fi, follow the steps below to register your devices. 

  1. View the MAC Address Guide to learn how to locate the MAC address. If you already have the MAC address, proceed to the next step. 

  2. Click the button below and log in using your KSU email and password to view the device register/management page.

  3. Click the Add button and fill out the device MAC Address field (e.g., 2C:54:91:88:C9:E3), description field, and click Submit.

If you're off campus and want to register devices for use on KSU Wi-Fi when you get to campus, follow the steps below.

  1. View the MAC Address Guide to learn how to locate the MAC address. If you already have the MAC address, proceed to the next step. 

  2. Click the button below to visit the form page and then follow the steps. You will be notified when your devices have been registered.

Managing registered devices

Any device you've connected to KSU Wi-Fi, using any of the methods above, can be managed via the device management page. Click the button below to view previously registered devices. Devices can be edited or deleted by checking the checkbox next to the device and clicking the Edit or Delete buttons.
