Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) is a secure online set of applications including Outlook, OneDrive, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, SharePoint, and Teams.

Microsoft Office Products Available

Kentucky State University is providing Microsoft Office to faculty, staff and students free of charge. This means the latest version of the full Office productivity suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and more available for offline and online use to best equip you with convenience. As long as you are an employee or student here and we continue this offer, you will be able to use this software for free.

  • Install on up to 5 compatible PCs and Macs, plus 5 tablets (including iPad!)
  • Use with OneDrive for automatic device syncing
  • Gain valuable skills on the world’s most popular productivity software
  • Use the same programs as your professors to ensure full file fidelity

To get your Office follow these simple steps:

For PC and Mac:

1. Click the application picker on the top left of the page (nine dots)

You will need your Kentucky State University e-mail account to sign in.

Email & Calendars

Microsoft 365 syncs emails, calendars, and contact information across your devices in real time, so it’s up to date, no matter what device is in your hand. 

Configure your Mobile Device – Your mobile device will not have email until it is reconfigured.

You can share and simultaneously work on your documents with classmates, friends and co-workers. No need to merge different versions later.

Skype for business

Skype for Business connects people everywhere, as part of their everyday productivity experience. Skype provides a consistent, single client experience for presence, instant messaging, voice, video and a great meeting experience. Skype enables instant messaging (IM) and voice calling with people around the world who use Skype.

SharePoint

SharePoint provides a single, integrated location in the cloud where users can easily collaborate with students and faculty to share ideas and expertise, build custom team and project sites and solutions, find organizational resources, or search for information. Administrators can also invite external users to view, share, and collaborate on intranet site collections.
