Important Announcement:  All test takers should be aware that the KSU Testing Center will continue to follow COVID-19 protocols until further notice. Masks are no longer mandatory, however you must bring appropriate identification, admission ticket and sharpened pencils. Parking for test takers is located behind the Exum and Academic Services buildings, the testing location is Carroll Academic Services Building for TOEFL , GRE, PRAXIS and KYOTE.  All SAT and ACT tests are administered in Hathaway Hall.  

Placement, Proficiency, and Learning Support Services

On-site testing by appointment:

Kentucky State University offers on-site proctored administration of the ACT National, ACT Residual, SAT, CLEP, ACCUPLACER, KYOTE, and the LSAT exam. Please contact the Testing Center at testing.department@kysu.edu for more information. All testing is conducted via paper or online, in a proctored location on campus which will be included in the test takers’ information when the test is scheduled. In addition, testing requires validation of test taker identity.

Testing Accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

Kentucky State University Americans with Disabilities Act Notification:

KSU Students:

Individualized testing or extended time accommodations testing is scheduled at the discretion of the faculty and the student needing accommodation.  Students must have completed the appropriate accommodations paperwork with Dr. Philip Clay, Director of Disability Services at philip.clay@kysu.edu and (502) 597- 6041.

Note: Some accommodations may not meet the reasonable and appropriate standard for the ADA and as such may not be honored as requested.  Further, no requests for accommodations without appropriate documentation will be honored.

Visiting Test Takers:

The Kentucky State University Testing Center offers proctoring for off-site students and individuals who prefer to test at this location.  Individuals that require a Test Proctor for an exam please contact the KSU Testing Center office for more detailed information.  Thank you.
