Office of Government Relations Staff

The Office of Government Relations supports Kentucky State University through the pursuit of public policy outcomes that strategically benefit the University. Government Relations works to secure the resources needed to operate a historically black land-grant university and prevent policy and regulatory barriers to Kentucky State’s success.

Our efforts are more than securing line-item funding in the state and federal budgets – we obtain resources, foster relationships and advance partnerships with local, state, federal and international government to support the University’s core mission – quality teaching, scholarly research and public service.

The dedicated staff of policy experts regularly collaborates with University colleagues to understand the interests of Kentucky State and how those interests relate to government.  Our policy experts and support staff provide the political context to University priorities, offers counsel and conducts outreach on specific advocacy efforts.

We strive to advance our mission by developing strong partnerships between public officials in order to build a better University and a more prosperous Commonwealth.
