Student Support Services (SSS) is a U.S. Department of Education Federal TRIO Project under the Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965. Since its inception it has provided exceptional academic and personal support for thousands of students throughout the United States who qualify under the eligibility criteria.

SSS at Kentucky State University (KSU) is designed to provide academic and person support for our student participants. SSS Will select and guide student participants with academic coaching, advising, career counseling, individual and personal counseling, mentoring, and assistance with other need that could impede on the persistence, retention and graduation of our student participants.

Students enrolling in this unique program will be exposed to educational, social, and cultural opportunities that will broaden their sense of awareness, enhance their sills to interface with our global market place.

KSU and SSS will focus on providing students with optimal benefits and services from the time they enter our program until graduation and assist them with their career choices after graduation. Our primary goal is to guide students so they can maximize their collegiate experience to compete on a worldwide basis.

Overall, SSS provides opportunities for success to those who are selected for participation and are willing to commit themselves to the mission of Student Support Services and their educational goals. SSS syncs with the mission and motto of Kentucky State University and the Division of Student Affairs for our students to: Enter to Learn, Go out to Serve, with our vision of: Preparing, Succeeding, and Graduating, the assistance of Student Support Services.
