Kentucky State University professor selected as part of CPE Academic Leadership Development Institute

A Kentucky State University professor is one of 19 faculty members across the Commonwealth chosen to participate in the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education (CPE) Academic Leadership Development Institute (ALDI).

Dr. Erin Gilliam was recently selected to participate in ALDI, which “provides a series of interactive sessions and small group seminars led by faculty and administrators from across Kentucky and other states,” according to a news release from CPE.

The goal of ALDI, according to the release, is to create a learning community of early career, underrepresented minority faculty and staff who are on track for professional advancement.

According to the release, CPE established ALDI in 2019 after receiving a $50,000 grant from the Lumina Foundation, which targeted efforts to close outcome gaps in postsecondary education.
