Kentucky State University president appointed to SACSCOC Board of Trustees

Kentucky State University President M. Christopher Brown II was recently appointed to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) Board of Trustees.

SACSCOC is the regional body for the accreditation of degree-granting higher education institutions in the Southern states, including Kentucky State University, which was recently fully reaffirmed by SACSCOC for 10 years. Kentucky State received the best possible review, with the committee finding Kentucky State in full compliance and offering no recommendations for continued monitoring.

According to the SACSCOC, “a sitting board member will also offer an in-depth exploration of the work of the Committees on Compliance and Reports (C&R), standing committees of the board that make final recommendations regarding the accreditation status of institutions.”

President Brown’s term began Jan. 1, 2021 and concludes Dec. 31, 2023.
