ACADEMIC AFFAIRS

Extension of the Withdrawal Deadline:

The deadline to withdraw from a course for Spring 2020 has been extended to April 9, 2020.

Student evaluation of courses for Spring 2020:

Student evaluations of spring 2020 courses will begin on April 15 and end on May 15, 2020. Faculty will receive a launch notice from Campus Labs this week. We have set the period for review of the spring courses to only reflect the period prior to the move to remote learning. This means evaluations will cover from the start of the term to spring break (March 6). A message clarifying this will be sent to faculty and students.

BRAND IDENTITY AND UNIVERSITY RELATIONS

Support Kentucky State students

Many of you have asked how can you help support Kentucky State University students during these difficult times. Click here to donate to the Kentucky State COVID-19 Student Emergency Fund. We appreciate your continued support and concern. More importantly, we thank you for demonstrating to the world the true essence of what it means to be a Thorobred and living #KSUForward.

Stay informed

Please continue to monitor your official Kentucky State University email accounts for up-to-date information concerning the status of the institution. To stay informed during the COVID-19 pandemic, visit KYSU.EDU/COVID19.

FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION

Due to the global pandemic of COVID-19, access to Kentucky State University buildings are closed to the public. Only essential staff with a valid Kentucky State ID may enter University buildings. This decision by Kentucky State University aligns with our goal to reduce the number of interactions on campus, slow the rate of transmission, and protect and care for the wellbeing of our campus community.

STUDENT ENGAGEMENT AND CAMPUS LIFE

The Division of Student Engagement and Campus Life continues to provide exciting and meaningful programs for students — from men’s and women’s support groups to IG Live DJ parties to an upcoming family talent show next Saturday!  For more information, check out the Campus Life Instagram page at kysu_campuslife.  You can also contact Ms. Katianna Yates, director of campus life, at katianna.yates@kysu.edu to discuss any questions or suggestions you may have.

Students who wish to speak to one of our three mental health counselors can schedule an appointment by contacting Dr. Anthony Andrews, director of the Center for Emotional Wellness, at (704) 451-1904 or anthony.andrews@kysu.edu. The Center also hosts a weekly mental wellness Youtube series and mindfulness/yoga activity.
