Jiang Yun

Bio:

Dr. Jiang is an animal scientist who specializes in ruminant nutrition, and she earned her PhD and MS in Animal Science from the University of Florida in 2019 and 2015, respectively. As an Assistant Professor at Kentucky State University, Dr. Jiang leads efforts to support small-scale and limited-resource beef farmers in Kentucky by conducting research in beef cattle nutrition. Her research focuses on using nutritional strategies to modulate rumen microbiota, optimize feed efficiency and animal health, minimize methane emissions, and reduce the environmental impact of beef production. Dr. Jiang is also committed to educating the next generation of agricultural and environmental scientists and serves the community through her teaching, extension and outreach efforts.
