Welcome back, Thorobreds

Greetings fellow Thorobreds,

This is going to be an exciting year on the Hill and we can’t wait for your return to campus.

To the incoming class of 2023, welcome! As you navigate your way into the Thorobred family, know that everyone has a place at Kentucky State University. Be prepared for a jam-packed semester, kicking off with Bred Week Saturday, Aug. 10 and continuing with Welcome Week Sunday, Aug. 18. There will almost always be something going on. But, with all of this excitement, remember that we are here to graduate – in four years. Know that you were BRED for this. I encourage you to get out of your residence halls and meet new people, explore clubs and organizations, go to class and most of all, have fun!

To our returning Thorobreds, the 86th Student Government Association (SGA) would like to wish you a happy and prosperous academic year and remind you that our priority is the student body. We are here to amplify and represent the greatness within all students. Not only are we here as advocates for change on behalf of you, but we also want to serve as inspiration for you to become leaders, in your own right, and make change happen in your daily lives. We hope that each of you feels comfortable coming to SGA, knowing that you can do so at any time.

Remember, we are here for YOU! Have questions or concerns? We want to know. Have an idea for something new? We want to hear about it. Stop by our office in the Carl M. Hill Student Center, Room 340, or stop us around campus. Let’s make 2019-2020 a successful year, Thorobreds!

In all things excellence,

Kierra L. Donald
