Why Kentucky State?

I chose Kentucky State because this is my alma mater! The professors truly care about educating the students; and, I love both the faculty and the staff here at Kentucky State.

What is your major and why did you choose this area of study ? 

My major is business administration with a concentration in accounting.  I choose this area of study because I am a true numbers person.  I am the state financial secretary for my church and finances come naturally for me. I also want to own my own business, working as a financial consultant.

Who inspires you and why ?

My inspirations are God, my mother and my children. God is always first. My mother inspires me because I get my strength from watching her. Even when my father passed away, I saw how my mother stood and was strong for everyone else. And, my children are my driving force.

Words to live by:  “No pain, no gain.”  If you really want something you have to work hard for it. It may not always be comfortable but if you persevere, it will pay off.
