Name:  Dr. Michael D. Dailey – Kentucky State University alum, Class of 1984

Position:  Director of Distance Learning/Instructional Design

How long have you been employed at Kentucky State? I started on March 21, 2019.  I have been employed for 10 months at Kentucky State University.

What do you enjoy most about your role? The joy of this role is creating opportunities and services for our students. The collaboration and creativity to design online learning opportunities are exciting and a necessity to expand how we share the unique Thorobred experience.

What has been one of your favorite moments at Kentucky State? Participating in my first Kentucky State commencement as a faculty member. The personal memories rushed through my mind as I watched parents and family members cheer for their graduate. It was like I was walking across the stage back in 1984.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working? Spending time with my family will always be first. My most precious memories have been with family.

What is one thing you couldn’t live without? My faith and family.

A fun fact about me is… Other than being a Kentucky State graduate, I also attended Rosenwald Elementary as a first grader.  Rosenwald was owned and operated by Kentucky State University.
