Disability Services and Dual Credit Classes

If you have a 504 Plan and require accommodations for your dual credit course, here is the process to have your plan submitted to Kentucky State’s Office of Dual Credit:

• This first step will depend on the process at your high school. Either you or your high school will submit your 504 Plan to Ally Barfield-McClure (dorothy.barfield@kysu.edu) and Katy Doyle (elizabeth.doyle1@kysu.edu). Please ask your counselor for guidance on how to initiate this process.
• Then the Office of Dual Credit will coordinate with the campus’ Office of Disability Services and your professor(s) to ensure that your accommodations are met.
  • If you would like to meet with the Office of Disability Services and include your parent or guardian in the meeting, we will need a FERPA Release Form on file. 
• Important Notes:
  • You must resubmit your request for accommodations (and 504 Plan) at the beginning of every semester.
  • You must also submit an updated 504 Plan if any changes are made during the semester.
