A Kentucky State University alumna is gaining a reputation for her generous personality.

Elisabeth Peach, an office and training manager at Aspen Dental in Frankfort, spends her time volunteering to help veterans regain their smiles through the company’s Healthy Mouth Movement. Peach is proud to be a part of the initiative.

“It is so great to see patients regain their smile,” said Peach, a Shelbyville, Kentucky native who earned a bachelor’s in English in 2010. “It gives them back their confidence and makes them feel good about interacting with others in person. When I get to see that patient smile again with dentures or other dental work, it makes me proud of my ability to help boost their confidence.”

Helping veterans regain the brightness of their smile isn’t Peach’s only way of giving back. She, along with her husband, own a small farm in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky where they raise hogs and sell USDA certified and Kentucky Proud Pork at the Anderson County Farmers Market. She serves as a board member for the Farmers Market, and she also plans events, spread awareness, and provides educational outreach to the community that she adores.

“It is such a great community of people who understand and want to grow, raise, or make quality foods and crafts for all to enjoy.”

Being of service to others is second nature to Peach. Her parents instilled the quality of giving in her during her younger years.

“I have been taught from a young age by my parents that serving others is a way to show love and care. I have always had the mentality that even though I don’t have a lot of money, I can still give my time to serve.

Through the common bond of helping others, Peach and other helpers can join forces to make their community a better place.

“I truly believe that being interested and involved in your community not only helps you give back but also you form valuable relationships that are fostered by the common goal of caring for others.”

Life is terrific for Peach. Her goal is to continue to lift others through community service.

Peach makes sure to appreciate all of her blessings, and the ability to be a blessing to others.

“I want to enjoy this season of life and never give up on making every day count. I will always have short-term goals, but beyond being a vessel of love, kindness, service, and integrity, I am very content with how far I’ve been blessed to make it in life.”
