New members inducted into Psi Chi

The Kentucky State University Chapter of Psi Chi, the international honor society in psychology, is proud to announce the annual induction ceremony of new members on April 10. The Kentucky State University Psi Chi chapter was installed May 10, 2017. The faculty advisor of the chapter is Dr. Johnathon Sharp. 

New members of the chapter include Darryl Pinto, Mitchell Wilson, Morgan Hibdon, Lydia Mitchell, Sheda Kitenge, Mariah Bailey and Dennis Hall.

Membership in Psi Chi is open to students who are majoring or minoring in psychology, and attend an institution where a chapter is located. Undergraduate students must have completed at least three semesters or the equivalent of full-time college coursework and at least nine credit hours or the equivalent of psychology courses. Students must have earned a cumulative GPA in the top 35 percent of their class compared to their classmates across the university or the college the houses psychology. Prospective members must have a minimum 3.0 GPA for psychology courses.

Graduate students must be accepted or enrolled in a psychology or closely related graduate program and have completed at least nine credit hours of graduate psychology courses in that program. Prospective members must also have an overall GPA of at least 3.0 in all graduate courses including psychology courses, as well as meet the graduate program’s requirements.
