Kentucky State University is scheduled to host its Spring 2018 High School Day April 14 at the Frankfort campus.

“Our goal is for each prospective student and parent to leave High School Day feeling positive about and comfortable with our campus, faculty and staff,” Kentucky State Interim Vice President for Enrollment Management and Director of Admissions Alice Watson said. “We want our prospective students and parents to visit and leave knowing our university is prepared, willing and able to accommodate their educational needs.”

Admission is free and check-in begins at 9 a.m. at the William Exum Center gymnasium. At 10 a.m. the event officially begins.

Prospective students representing 49 high schools in eight states are slated to attend. Students from Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, Alabama and Maryland registered prior to the event.

An academic and student organization fair will be held in the gymnasium and students can experience campus life on a campus tour.

“Our objective for the day is to convey important information regarding subject matter, majors, student life, support staff and reference materials offered by the University in a fun, friendly and unintimidating atmosphere,” Watson said.
