Kentucky State University professor recognized by the state Senate

Dr. Patricia Higgins, Kentucky Reading Project (KRP) director and professional development coordinator, was recently recognized on the Kentucky State Senate floor with members of the Collaborative Center for Literacy Development (CCLD), where legislators provided a myriad of accolades for the history and work of the CCLD for their 20 years of service.

State Senator Reginald Thomas issued a Senate resolution during the session.  Higgins also received accolades that were expressed by the communications, marketing and promotions director of the CCLD for being “an integral part and a shining example of commitment and quality professionalism as a professional development presenter for the Early Childhood Center and Kentucky Reading Project (EC-KRP) in Wayne County.”

Higgins is an associate professor in the School of Education at Kentucky State.
