Kentucky State University HVAC update

Kentucky State University HVAC update

Posted on November 26, 2018

The health and safety of our students is a top priority at Kentucky State University.

The replacement part for the HVAC system set to arrive Monday, Nov. 26 has been delayed. The manufacturer experienced difficulties completing the customized part for the boiler/chiller system, which is now scheduled to arrive Friday, Nov. 30. We apologize for the delay and for any inconvenience this causes.

The Division of Student Engagement will be calling all students in the affected residence halls to personally encourage relocation to the Capital Plaza Hotel, with the option to remain there until the end of the academic semester.

Shuttle service remains available each day from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m., transporting students between the hotel and campus every 30 minutes. Campus pick up and drop off will occur every 30 minutes at the Carl M. Hill Student Center. Resident assistants will accompany students during their stay at the Capital Plaza.

ServPro has been contracted to provide portable heat in the Carl M. Hill Student Center, J.S. Hathaway Hall and Julian M. Carroll Academic Services Building so academic and administrative operations may continue.
