Kentucky State University professor to perform Sunday in Frankfort

Dr. Caroline G Gibson, vocal artist in residence, assistant professor of music, and director of the opera/musical theatre workshop at Kentucky State University was recently featured in the Spectrum section of The Frankfort State-Journal.

Gibson, soprano, will present “Allerseelen” (All Saints Sunday) concert on Sunday, November 5 at 4 p.m. at Church of the Ascension; 311 Washington Street, Frankfort, Kentucky.  The Sunday News Journal in Wilmington, Delaware said Gibson’s voice is “a voice to be reckoned with …,” while the Post and Courier in Charleston, South Carolina said “… her Summertime was sweet and warm as molasses.”

Gibson will perform works by Handel, Puccini, Verdi, Strauss and others. She will be accompanied by John Martin, instructor of music and staff accompanist at KSU, on the piano.  There is no admission and all are invited.
