“This was a fun event for a Friday night,” said KSU student Kessiah Cunningham. “I loved seeing everyone so happy and talking to each other in a happy environment. Wonderfully talented people performed today and it was very entertaining.”

Acting Vice President of  Student Affairs Francene Gilmer welcomed the crowd to the event, while Director of Student Life Rochelle Owsley served as mistress of ceremony. The event was organized to unite KSU students, staff and faculty in a fun and lively environment.

“I loved the event. I thought it was a very nice event with wonderful performers,” said KSU student Traci Thomas.

The decision to crown a first-place winner came down to an audience-participation popular vote. KSU staff member Waldridge was declared the winner of the $100 Visa gift card. Second-place and third-place were awarded to Akis and Finn and son, David, respectively.

“We hope to make this a yearly thing. And we encourage more people to get involved and attend events,” Owsley said. “The Office of Student Life has a lot of upcoming events that will be taking place next semester so everyone should stay tuned.”
