The Lutisha Coleman-Morton Music Scholarship Competition awarded scholarships to four students during Homecoming Week. Students participated in the competition on Saturday, October 3 and gathered during the Division of Fine Art’s Legacy Seminar on October 8 for the announcement of the winners. Michael Weaver (Vocal Music Education), Watez Phelps (Instrumental Music Education), Ervin Webster (Vocal Music Education) and Jalen Brown (Instrumental Music Education) each received scholarships. The LCM Scholarship was created in honor of Mrs. Lutisha Coleman-Morton, and serves as a testament of her commitment to assisting aspiring artists and musicians.
