The College of Agriculture, Communities, and the Environment’s 4-H Program held an event to celebrate National 4-H Science Day on Tuesday, Oct. 21.

About 75 5th- to 8th-grade students from the Franklin Public School System joined Ms. Shawn Moore, youth program director for 4-H youth development, to design and build an aerodynamic food transportation rocket that can deliver nutritious food to disaster victims.

The students learned engineering concepts, developed math skills and learned about nutrition while solving a relevant, global issue.
