Why did you choose Kentucky State? I came to Kentucky State because of the marching band. Also, when I got the opportunity to go to a Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), I took it because I’ve always wanted to attend an HBCU.

What is your major and why did you choose this area of study? My major is exercise science. I picked this because I eventually want to become a physical therapist.

Who inspires you and why? Someone who inspires me is my grandmother. I’ve always admired her strength and the way she cares for other people. She’s a very selfless person and always puts others before herself. I can truly say she has a heart of gold.

What do you plan to do when you graduate? When I graduate, I plan to go to graduate school, get my master’s and eventually go back for my doctorate degree. Someday, I want to open my own private practice in my field of specialty.

Words to live by: I live by the Bible verse Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
