Shreesha PandeyaSuraj K C is a PhD student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill specializing in geospatial analysis of land cover change along with biomass estimation and carbon sequestration analysis. He is focused on integrating advanced remote sensing, GIS and machine learning/AI for monitoring land cover dynamics and ecosystem carbon storage. Prior to his PhD journey, he served as research associate at Kentucky State University working on projects in land cover/land use mapping and precision agriculture.  His work at KSU yielded in publications about land cover change, use of LiDAR in soybean crop assessment and urban heat island analysis.
