Presidential Ambassadors
Program Overview
Kentucky State University Presidential Ambassadors are a select group of student leaders who serve as official representatives of the University and the Office of the President.
Ambassadors help welcome prospective students, families, alumni, donors, University partners, distinguished guests, and members of the community. They also support presidential and University events, campus tours, recruitment activities, alumni and donor programs, and other special functions on and off campus.
Selection as a Presidential Ambassador is both an honor and a responsibility. Through their service, ambassadors gain valuable leadership experience, strengthen their communication and professional skills, and build meaningful relationships throughout the Kentucky State community.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:

Be enrolled full time as an on-campus undergraduate student at Kentucky State University.

Have completed at least one semester before beginning service.

Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5.

Remain in good academic and conduct standing.

Demonstrate professionalism, dependability, integrity, effective communication skills, and a commitment to service.

Be willing to learn about Kentucky State’s mission, history, traditions, academic programs, student life, and campus resources.

Be able to fulfill the program’s time and service commitments.
Students enrolled exclusively in Kentucky State Global programs are not eligible at this time.
Program Commitment
Presidential Ambassadors should expect to serve approximately five to 10 hours per week, with additional commitments possible during major University events. Assignments may include campus tours, presidential events, Board of Regents meetings, recruitment activities, call campaigns, and other University functions.
Some responsibilities may occur during evenings, weekends, University breaks, or holidays.

Apply to Become a Presidential Ambassador
Students who meet the eligibility requirements are invited to apply. Ambassadors are selected through a competitive application and interview process.

Nominate a Student
Kentucky State faculty and staff members are invited to nominate students who demonstrate leadership, professionalism, dependability, strong communication skills, a commitment to service, and pride in representing the University.
Nominated students must meet all eligibility requirements and complete the application and interview process to be considered.
