Award Recipient Criteria
Ethel McClendon Award Kayla Palmer The Ethel McClendon Award recognize individuals who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement (GPA of 3.5 or higher), leadership in social work, and a commitment to social justice and community development. The award honors those who have made a lasting impact in the field of social work, upholding the values exemplified by Ethel McClendon. 
Ada Doss Campbell Award Paris Wardlow This award recognizes a student who has demonstrated exceptional leadership, academic excellence, and a  strong commitment to community service. Honoring the values of the Phi Alpha Honor Society and the legacy of Ada Doss Campbell, the recipient embodies servant leadership, advocacy, and a passion for uplifting others through meaningful engagement. 
Outstanding Senior Award Jane Ulaba Samura This award honors a graduating senior who has demonstrated exceptional academic achievement (GPA 3.5 or higher), leadership, and commitment to values of Social Work. The recipient stands out for their excellence in the classroom, in the field, and in service to others embodying compassion, integrity, and a strong dedication to social justice. 
Outstanding Junior Award Shelby Bell This award recognizes a junior social work student who has shown exceptional academic performance (GPA of 3.5 or higher), emerging leadership, and a strong commitment to the core values of the profession. The recipient demonstrates promise through their dedication in the classroom, engagement in service, and passion for advocacy and social justice.
