Urban Agriculture Student Assistants get the oppurtunity to explore Controlled Environment Agriculture CEA systems at the Harold Benson Farm Greenhouses at Kentucky State University.  In these greenhouse spaces, students work on CEA research studies and production.  Students learn about various horticulture systems and techniques such as germination, propagation, seeding, and transplant methods. They also develop crop growing strategies for integrated pest management and plant disease mitigation in controlled environment agriculture spaces. Greenhouse projects foster many hands on opportunities and skills through experience and exposure to these environments.
