Whether you are a student looking for your next opportunity or an employer searching for emerging talent, the KSU Career Fair is designed for you! Students will have a chance to explore internships and employment opportunities, learn about a variety of industries, and engage directly with professionals who are ready to meet the next generation of talent.
Students: Your Next Opportunity Could Be in the Room
Thorobreds, come prepared to make an impression! This is your opportunity to meet employers face-to-face, learn what organizations are looking for, expand your professional network, and potentially take the first step toward an internship or career opportunity.
Register for the Career Fair on Handshake
Before you arrive:
- Dress for the opportunity. Business professional attire is required. Jeans should not be worn to the Career Fair. Remember, you are entering a professional recruiting environment where employers may be considering students for internships and employment. Your attire should communicate that you are prepared, confident, and serious about the opportunity.
- Bring your resume. Have several printed copies of an updated resume ready to share with employers.
- Know who's in the room. Review participating employers in Handshake before the Career Fair and identify organizations you want to meet.
- Prepare your introduction. Be ready to briefly share your name, major, career interests, skills, and the type of opportunities you are seeking.
- Engage with confidence. Ask questions, make eye contact, collect contact information when appropriate, and follow up after the Career Fair.
Need Something to Wear? Visit the Career Closet
Do not let professional attire keep you from showing up prepared.
Students are encouraged to explore the Career Closet through the Office of Career Services & Professional Development, located in the Academic Services Building (ASB), Suite 339.
The Career Closet provides students with access to professional attire for career fairs, interviews, networking events, internships, and other professional opportunities. Stop by before the Career Fair and let us help you put your best foot forward.
Employers: Meet Your Next Great Hire at Kentucky State University
Your next intern, emerging leader, or full-time employee could be a Thorobred.
Kentucky State University's Career Fair gives employers direct access to students who are preparing to enter the workforce with the education, experiences, skills, and determination to make an impact.
We invite employers from corporate, government, nonprofit, education, healthcare, agriculture, technology, business, public service, and other industries to join us on campus and introduce students to the opportunities available within your organization.
Participating in the Career Fair is more than setting up a table. It is an opportunity to:
- Build your talent pipeline by connecting with students seeking internships, part-time opportunities, and full-time employment.
- Increase your organization's visibility among KSU students, faculty, and campus partners.
- Meet students face-to-face and identify candidates whose skills, interests, and personalities may not be fully captured on a resume.
- Recruit emerging talent from a university with a rich history of preparing graduates to lead, serve, and contribute across industries.
- Build a lasting partnership with KSU and position your organization as an employer that invests in the professional development of our students.
Whether you have positions available right now or are building your pipeline for future opportunities, we want your organization in the room.
