Kentucky State University held a groundbreaking ceremony on campus during Homecoming, on Oct. 11, for the Dr. Henry E. Cheaney Legacy Plaza. Cheaney, a native of Henderson, Ky., was widely known in the region as a historian, author and civic leader.
