How will I be notified about my financial aid?

Please note: The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for a new academic year is available on October 1st annually at www.studentaid.gov The priority deadline for returning students receiving academic scholarships at KYSU is January 15th annually. The deadline to submit a FAFSA and any required documents to the financial aid office is April 1st annually.

If you have filed a FAFSA for the current year and awarded federal, state or institutional aid, the Financial Aid Office will notify you through Kentucky State University’s Wired system. Award notifications will not occur if you have not been admitted or have an incomplete financial aid file. Your WIRED Account at Kentucky State University is the portal the Financial Aid Office uses to notify students of their financial aid status as well as financial aid awards. This portal gives you access to all of your student information. Admitted students with valid a FAFSA on file for the academic year can view their financial aid status and awards by logging into the WIRED Portal.
