Former Kentucky State University student honored with building renaming

A former Kentucky State University student was recently honored by another institution of higher education in the Commonwealth.  Margaret Munday was recently honored by Western Kentucky University, as its first African American student to enroll, by renaming Northeast Hall to Mundy Hall.  Munday transferred to Western Kentucky University in 1956 and earned a bachelor’s degree in music in 1960. Kentucky State University alumnus featured in Bloomberg

A recent Kentucky State University alumnus was recently featured in a Bloomberg story about Wall Street hiring from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).  Kirk L. Miller, former Student Government Association president, was featured as a recent hire of Wells Fargo.  Miller told Bloomberg he was preparing for a move to Charlotte and considering a career as an investment banker or wealth manager.  Click here to read the full story.
