Four KSU employees to participate in Bluegrass Tomorrow’s Academic Leadership Academy


The Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education recently announced participates in the Bluegrass Tomorrow’s Academic Leadership Academy (ALA). The 65 faculty and staff represent 18 colleges and universities in the Commonwealth. Dr. Frederick Williams (chair of the School of Criminal Justice and Political Science), La’Quida Smith (chair of the School of Behavioral and Social Sciences), Dr. TaKeia Anthony (interim dean of the Whitney Young Honors Collegium), Dr. Phillip Clay Jr. (assistant professor of Education, director of Data & Assessment, coordinator of Disability Services), and Dr. Tierra Freeman Taylor (interim director of Institutional Effectiveness) will represent Kentucky State University in ALA.

According to its website, the purpose of ALA is, “to encourage younger faculty/staff to consider leadership career paths. ALA provides guidance in developing the skills that are requisites for effective institutional leadership. This ensures a sound and successful future for the participating institutions.”
