A Kentucky State University professor was recently selected to attend site visit training for the Council for Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).

Dr. Phillip H. Clay Jr., assistant professor of education, was nominated for site visit training by the Kentucky Department of Education Office of Educator Licensure and Effectiveness.

“I am very excited to represent Kentucky State University as a representative at the CAEP site visit training,” Clay said. “The experiences garnered at the training will be brought back and shared throughout our department and administration. The goal is to use the training opportunity to prepare and grow the School of Education and Human Development, as well as Kentucky State University. I am thankful for the recognition, and look forward to continuing the process of moving our university forward.”

According to its mission, CAEP advances equity and excellence in educator preparation through evidence-based accreditation that assures quality and supports continuous improvement to strengthen P-12 student learning.
