Kentucky State University president to serve as a speaker at the U.S. Africa Youth Entrepreneurship Summit
Kentucky State University President M. Christopher Brown II will serve as a speaker during the US-Africa Youth Entrepreneurship Summit (USAYES) in Chicago July 12-13.
According to its website, USAYES 2018 is an entrepreneurship and innovation conference and exhibitions platform designed to promote and facilitate connections in the United States and Africa through trade and investment, primarily in the areas of technology, agribusiness and tourism.
President Brown is delighted to address those in attendance on the topic of “Transcending the Berlin and Bretton Woods Conferences: How U.S. Black Colleges Can Support African Development,” which is based on his new book, Black Colleges Across the Diaspora: Global Perspectives on Race and Stratification in Postsecondary Education Vol. 14. The book was co-edited by President Brown and T. Elon Dancy II with the University of Oklahoma.
Rev. Jesse Jackson, Sr. is slated as a special guest of honor at the conference. A diverse array of speakers with backgrounds in ministry, research, business, academia, entertainment and more are scheduled to appear.
The theme for the conference focuses on empowering youth, promoting investment in technology, agribusiness and tourism, as well the future of U.S. and African economic sustainable development.
USAYES 2018 is organized by Africa Global Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with many partners.
