Kentucky State University’s online master’s degree in special education was once again recognized as one of the best in the country, this time by AffordableCollegesOnline.org (ACO).

ACO is a leader in higher education information, resources and rankings.

Only accredited, public, not-for-profit institutions with at least one online program were eligible for the rankings. Data used to rank the programs include acceptance rates, cost of tuition, number of full-time students and graduation rates.

“In our seventh annual survey of online learning programs across the nation, we wanted to honor the colleges and universities that are providing innovative ways for students to complete a degree,” Dan Schuessler, CEO and Founder of AffordableCollegesOnline.org, said. “These schools are going above and beyond the industry standard to help make online education programs more accessible and affordable.”

According to the ACO website, special education teachers are in high demand, as student enrollment in programs that provide special education teaching has increased during the past few years.
