Kentucky State University to host historic truss signing ceremony
Kentucky State University will host a truss signing ceremony to commemorate the latest milestone in the construction of the university’s nearly $50 million state-of-the-art residence hall Tuesday, May 10 at 10 a.m.
A beam signing ceremony is a long-standing tradition in construction to commemorate the completion of a building‘s structure.
During this event, attendees will have the opportunity to sign the final truss before it is installed atop the structure.
The new residence hall will provide dining for 300+ and include an expansive lobby, study lounges, offices and workrooms, recreational space, and a multipurpose classroom.
The residence hall was designed by award-winning architectural and interior design firm EOP Architects and is slated for completion ahead of schedule in December 2022.
