Kentucky State University to host forensic intelligence workshop

Kentucky State University is the host location for a forensic intelligence workshop Friday, March 1 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. in the Carl M. Hill Student Center Ballroom.

The workshop, titled “Forensic Intelligence: Science in Service of Intelligence and Security,” is sponsored by the Bluegrass State Intelligence Community Center for Academic Excellence (BGS IC CAE).

Presentations at the workshop will include an orientation to forensic science capabilities, the partnership between forensic science and intelligence, and intelligence-led policing.

Speakers include Keith A. Dollinger, a certified latent print examiner with the Kentucky State Police; Marlyn (Doug) Harrod, also a certified latent print examiner with the Kentucky State Police; Samiah Ibrahim, a senior forensic scientist and manager with the Canadian government; Marc Gaudreau, director of products and materials research and development for Canadian Bank Note; and Jonathan Jackson-Morris, who works in the chemistry and documents team of forensic services within the Scottish Police Authority (SPAFS).

Guest parking is available on campus in the William Exum Center parking lot, which is on the left if entering campus from East Main Street.
