Kentucky State University will host “A Conversation with Synthia Saint James” at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2 at the Julian M. Carroll Academic Services Building, Welcome Center, first-floor street level. Saint James is most celebrated for designing the first Kwanzaa stamp for the USPS in 1997, and for the international cover art for Terry McMillan’s book, Waiting to Exhale. But few know that her artwork has been internationally featured in several United States Embassies through the Art in Embassies Program since the 1990’s.
