4th Annual Ag Roundup event
The College of Agriculture, Health, and Natural Resources at Kentucky State University
is excited to announce the 4th Annual Ag Roundup, a three-day event scheduled for
September 24, 25, and 26, 2026. This event will bring together middle, high school,
and college students, as well as faculty, farmers, local businesses, and other stakeholders
from across the Commonwealth to celebrate Kentucky State’s impact on agriculture and
student professional development.
"Through the Ag Roundup, we are raising awareness of our impact in agriculture and
in STEM fields across the Commonwealth of Kentucky,” said Dr. Marcus Bernard, Dean
of the College of Agriculture, Health, and Natural Resources & Director of Land Grant
Programs.
The three-day event will be held on Kentucky State University’s main campus.
Day One – Thursday, September 24
- Kentucky State University MANNRS Networking and Reception, Cooperative Extension Building, 6 p.m.

Day Two – Friday, September 25
- Check-in and arrival, 9-10 a.m.
- Ag Roundup Symposium, Bradford Hall, 10-11:30 a.m.
Welcome: Dr. Koffi C.Akakpo, President, Kentucky State University; Dr. Marcus Bernard, Dean of the College of Agriculture, Heath, and Natural Resources & Director, Land Grant Programs; Mr. David Wayne, State Executive Director, USDA Farm Service Agency; and MANRR student leaders
Keynote Speaker: Mr. Stephen Ritz, foudner of Green Bronx Machine
- Agricultural & Campus Immersion Festival and 4-H Ville (10 a.m.-3 p.m.), Yellow Brick Road
- Cookout (12-2 p.m.), Yellow Brick Road
Learn about Kentucky State programs and what can be gained from a career in agriculture,
health, and natural resources. Expect an outdoor festival with fair-like activities,
hands-on learning opportunities, free food, and exhibits to showcase programs, research,
and ideas for students’ future path. This event is open to middle and high school
groups.
