September 9 to 11, 2025

Registration for the Fifth International Pawpaw Conference is now open.

The conference will be held September 9-11, 2025 in Frankfort, Kentucky. This year’s theme is “Cultivating Excellence: The Next Chapter in Pawpaw Development” and offers a unique experience for scientists, nursery owners, entrepreneurs, and enthusiasts to exchange knowledge and insights on the breeding, production, and range of applications for pawpaw.

Sponsored by the Kentucky State University Land Grant Program, the North American Pawpaw Growers Association, the Ohio Pawpaw Festival, and the American Society for Horticultural Science, the Fifth International Pawpaw Conference will include exciting information on new pawpaw cultivars, past cultivars, new breeding approaches, and the needs of a pawpaw registry. In addition to presentations on pawpaw, there will also be opportunities to taste pawpaw fruit and tour the Kentucky State pawpaw orchards.

Participants can also register for an optional pre-conference tour of England’s Orchard & Nursery in McKee, Kentucky on September 9, as well as submit their poster or oral presentation to be showcased at the conference.
