From Kentucky to China: KSU Signs New MOU with Guangzhou Huali College, Forging New Opportunities
On Thursday, May 22, Kentucky State University (KSU) and Guangzhou Huali College from China signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU), opening up new possibilities for collaboration between the two institutions.
“At Kentucky State University, we strive to prepare our students to enter the everchanging global workforce by providing dynamic experiential learning opportunities and experiences,” said KSU President, Dr. Koffi C. Akakpo. “We are excited to open possible academic pathways especially in nursing, which is our largest and fastest growing program.”
The new partnership promotes the exchange of students, faculty, and joint research and collaborations between KSU and Guangzhou Huali College. Collaborative programs will include both undergraduate and graduate levels in programs such as nursing, business administration, international economics and trade, engineering, and much more.
“Guangzhou Huali College is a traditionally engineering discipline comprehensive university. However, we are now in the rapid development of health-related disciplines including medicine, nursing and pharmacy. It is my great honor to come to KSU to sign an MOU with Dr. Koffi C. Akakpo and I believe this will certainly open a new door for the opportunity of student and faculty member exchange on both sides,” said Guangzhou Huali College President, Dr. Jiesheng Liu.
