KSU Hosts the Annual Federal Reserve Luncheon on Campus
More than 100 people including students, faculty, and staff of the University community gathered in the Student Center Ballroom during the Federal Reserve Luncheon organized by the School of Business at Kentucky State University on Thursday, September 21, 2023. This is one of the School’s signature annual events.
Speakers from the Louisville Federal Reserve included Seema Sheth, Senior VP and Regional Executive of the Louisville Branch Federal Reserve of St. Louis; Allen North, Senior VP of Safety and Soundness Supervision at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis; and Andrea Caceres-Santamaria, Senior Economic Education Specialist at the Federal Reserve of St. Louis. They kept the crowd engaged and inspired with their electrifying speeches involving anecdotes from their own lives and careers, stressing the importance of economics and finance, discussing career opportunities with the Fed, and motivating students to move onward and upward, even if that meant stepping outside the box and taking a not-so-linear career path.
Kentucky State University President Dr. Koffi C. Akakpo welcomed the guests and the Business School Chair Dr. Gary R. Stratton introduced the speakers. The event was also attended by local bank officials, financial advisors, and business owners.
The lunch was sponsored by the Federal Reserve’s Louisville Branch of St. Louis. All had a great time interacting, engaging, and learning.
