Dr. Sarr’s poster entitled “Is Economic and Managerial Strategy Still Relevant in the 21st Century?” discussed the concept of strategy and its relevance in helping organizations or firms to achieve their objectives and stay competitive in the global market. The paper further highlighted that involvement of some aspects of economic and managerial strategy in an organization cannot be ignored as there are risks involved. Alisher Burikhanov, a former graduate student of Kentucky State University’s MBA Program and the current Executive Director, Kentucky Workforce Innovation Board at the Kentucky Education and Labor Cabinet, also presented his research entitled “Benefits to Employers: Quantitative Analysis of Hiring Untapped Talent.”
Dr. Abdul Turay, Professor of Economics, and Dr. Charles Nichols, Jr., Assistant Professor of Management, also attended the conference and chaired a special organized session with other faculty and representatives across the Commonwealth and beyond. Kentucky State University is a full member of KEA and the conference had been held on our campus before under the leadership of Dr. Turay.
