Kentucky State University Spring 2023 Opening Conference is set for January 9
Kentucky State University Interim President Ronald A. Johnson will convene faculty and staff at the start of the Spring semester for the annual Opening Conference on January 9, at 9:30 a.m. in the Carl H. Smith Auditorium in David H. Bradford Hall.
With a focus on the years ahead, the theme is “Enabling Our Intended Future.” The Conference provides KSU’s faculty, staff, student leaders and guests opportunities to gain insights from industry experts, peers, and colleagues, share their own experiences with others and challenge themselves to impact on-campus and beyond.
President Johnson noted that in the year 2022, KSU began forging the path forward and reached early milestones because of the steadfast commitment of faculty and staff to keeping the dream of equity and opportunity for our students today and in the future as our highest priority.
“It is through this togetherness that we emerge stronger as students, faculty, staff, alumni and supporters ready to face 2023 with excitement and resolve,” President Johnson said. “At this Conference, we will focus on solving complex problems, breaking boundaries and building bridges through community and collaboration. In the coming year, I look forward to collaborating with you in our noble cause of enabling an intended future for Kentucky State.”
Speakers will include individuals from the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education (CPE) and the campus community. In addition, Kentucky State will welcome new employees and acknowledge the talent and creativity they will contribute to our engaging and vital work here.
Breakfast will be served in the Underwood Cafeteria starting at 7:45 a.m. Lunch will also be provided for all in attendance. Event attendees and guests are encouraged to comply with all public health-related University protocols.
