96 students inducted into the Whitney Young Honors Collegium
The Whitney M. Young Honors Collegium officially welcomed 96 students into the Honors Collegium Tuesday, October 11, in the Carl M. Hill Student Center Ballroom.
The Whitney Young Honors Collegium is an integrated liberal studies academic program that emphasizes the development of global student leaders who are innovative and committed to the learning process, experimentation and community service learning. The College is named after the late Whitney M. Young Jr., executive director of the National Urban League from 1961 to 1971; a distinguished leader of the American civil rights movement; and a graduate of Kentucky State University. Through its special curriculum, the Whitney Young Honor Collegium aims to develop in its students the qualities of critical intelligence, maturity and leadership exemplified by Mr. Young.
Congratulations to the new class of inductees!
