Kentucky State University director appointed to Bluegrass Tomorrow Inc. board


A Kentucky State University director was recently appointed to a seat on the board for Bluegrass Tomorrow Inc. in Lexington. 

Sonia Sanders, director of public engagement has been appointed to a three-year term on the Bluegrass Tomorrow Inc. board. Sanders currently represents Kentucky State University as liaison for Bluegrass Higher Education Consortium (BHEC) and Academic Leadership Academy (ALA), which are programs under the direction of Bluegrass Tomorrow Inc.

Bluegrass Tomorrow said on its website it “envisions the central Kentucky (Bluegrass) region as a place where our best agricultural land remains secure and productive, and development occurs deliberately, responsibly, and with environmental sensitivity.”

Bluegrass Tomorrow is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization governed by a geographically, technically, and culturally diverse board of directors and executive committee. Fifty percent of the board is from outside Fayette County.
