Award-winning radio host and multi-faceted professor to headline Kentucky State University Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Assembly


An award-winning radio host and multi-faceted professor will headline the Kentucky State University Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Assembly Jan. 20 at 11 a.m. in the Carl H. Smith Auditorium of David H. Dr. Tiffany Monique Lloyd is an award-winning professor, political scientist, economist, author, singer, radio host, academician, scholar and motivational speaker. 

She is likely best known in a principal role in the  romantic comedy play, “All the Women I’ve Loved”, which was written and produced by eight-time Emmy award-winning producer and senior executive producer for CNN International, Byron Harmon. Lloyd made her television debut as a special guest on TBN (Trinity Broadcasting Network) with host Clifton Davis and has been featured on TBN several times. 

Lloyd made history in the state of Louisiana by being selected Miss Black Louisiana USA 2008 and 2009 from the national office of the Miss Black USA system. She placed as third runner-up in the Miss Black USA Pageant. Lloyd also serves on the national board of directors of the Miss Black USA Pageant.

She also received the Louisiana Emerging Leader Award by the Louisiana Black Caucus, a recent honoree for the Women of Distinction Award and received the Outstanding Faculty Award at Texas College. Recently, Lloyd was nominated as professor of the year at Richland College in Dallas, Texas. She was recognized and featured as a power alum for the nationally recognized HBCU Times Magazine and was recently honored as the Legacy Award Honoree and the Michelle Obama Lifetime Achievement Award from the Miss Black USA Organization.

Lloyd has served as a political science professor, division chair/dean at Texas College in Tyler, Texas. Lloyd  also serves as a professor at Lane College, Richland College, Tarrant County College and Cedar Valley College. Lloyd is a member of numerous organizations, including Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., NAACP, The Henry A. Montgomery Board of Directors, and the Higher Education Leadership Foundation (HELF). 

She earned Bachelor of Science degrees in psychology and education from Alcorn State University, where she graduated magna cum laude.  She holds a master’s degree in public administration, as well as a Ph.D. in public policy (economics) from Southern University A&M College.

Currently, she is the host of Jesus & Justice with Dr. Tiff  on the Fishbowl Radio Network. The show focuses on societal issues aligning with the teachings of Jesus Christ. Lloyd is also the host of Jesus & Justice with Dr. Tiff Podcast.
