The Kentucky State University chair of social work recently published an article featured in The New Social Worker: The Social Work Careers Magazine. 

Dr. Mindy Brooks-Eaves, chair of the social work program, published “Self-Care A-Z: Self-Care as Sociopolitical Liberation for Black Women” in The New Social Worker. 

Brooks-Eaves discussed the importance of self-care for everyone, but especially the importance of self-care for Black women. 

Brooks-Eaves wrote about her experience as a social worker, in social work education and higher education in general. 

Brooks-Eaves is the co-editor of The A to Z Self-Care Handbook for Social Workers and other Helping Professionals.
