Two Kentucky State University librarians recently offered service work to their field by presenting at the Library 2.021 virtual conference.

Dantrea Hampton and Sheila Stuckey recently presented “Encouraging Civic Engagement on Campus,” at the Library 2.021 virtual bilingual conference.

The conference was a meeting place for librarians with diverse experiences, from public and academic libraries, and from both sides of the Mexico and United States border and around the world.

Library 2.021 highlighted the essential roles libraries play in strengthening civic connections, advancing civic engagement in the communities they serve, and as go-to resources for building a culture of informed, engaged, and empowered residents.

The conference was presented by the Southern California Library Cooperative, in partnership with the SERR Library Cooperative, California State Library, Library 2.0 Virtual Conference Series and the iSchool at San Jose State University.
