Two Kentucky State University students earn awards at Kentucky Academy of Science annual meeting


Two Kentucky State University students recently earned awards at the Kentucky Academy of Science (KAS) annual meeting. 

Dawson Armstrong earned third place for agricultural sciences for the presentation "Floating raceway nursery proof of concept for production of phase I fingerling largemouth bass (Micropterus salmoides)”, while Camron Abner earned third place in computer and informational sciences for the presentation "Brain Schooler: A Web-Based Graphical Interface for EEG Visualization and Analysis." 

According to a KAS news release, more than 400 scientists and students registered for the 2020 annual meeting, and 195 students from Kentucky and regional colleges and universities participated in the research competitions. 

The Kentucky Academy of Science is a non-profit organization, founded in 1914, whose mission is to foster scientific discovery and understanding in Kentucky.
